Osteopath & Strength & Conditioning
I have had an interest in physical culture and weight training since I was in single digits, having started my first weight training program at the age of 9. This grew throughout my younger years, leading me to consume any and every source of training information available, and applying it into my training.
In my teens, I was a very keen soccer player, and weight training helped support my strength and athleticism. And subsequently, after sustaining a knee injury in my early 20's, I used my competitive drive to move into the world of competitive bodybuilding, which I ended up stepping on stage 13 times over 7 years.
After my last bodybuilding competition, I then spent nearly 10 years in the competitive world of Crossfit. And it was in this modality where I was able to really explore movement, work capacity, tenacity, injury management and recovery. These have been carried into my training and work ever since.
In my early 20's I decided to complete my personal training certificate, as I wanted to share my learnings with other people who were new to the gym, and I have spent the last 20 years refining my skills, and spending countless hours studying and applying my knowledge in the pursuit of being the best trainer I can possibly be.
My interest in the body, helping people, and thirst for knowledge, led me to pursue studies in Osteopathy, which has become complementary to my work as a trainer, and in my own training.
I tailor my treatment, rehab and coaching to the individual, and have developed a particular interest in the practice of indirect osteopathy, which I find gentle but very powerful.
I look forward to continuing my learning, and sharing it with everyone I work with.
